Parade Guidelines

In an effort to streamline the process of planning/hosting any and all parades in the future, the Tourism Office will have parade applications available online at  www.socorronm.org or www.socorronm.gov; in hard copy form at the City of Socorro Heritage & Visitors Center, 217 Fisher Ave (near the Plaza); or email  tourism@socorronm.gov for a pdf file.

These forms MUST be turned in no later than at least 2 weeks before said event (each application will have specific deadline). If you fail to turn in an application, you or your company will be denied entry into that parade. We will no longer be accepting late entry or last minute add-ins, as this completely undermines the planning process which in turn promotes lackluster events. The Tourism Office is committed to providing high quality, spectator friendly events that the entire community can be proud of.

We deeply regret having to cancel the 4th of July parade, but encourage all who want to be involved in future parades to follow the guidelines set forth. Start preparing for the Socorro County Fair & ProRodeo, September 1-3, as we will strive to make that parade on September 2nd spectacular.
