Annual Fall Family Fair

Join us at Sevilleta National Wildlife for a variety of Family activities, live animals, archery, games, nature talks, crafts, snacks, guided tours, and a youth art Award Ceremony; during our FALL FAMILY FAIR! Saturday, November 2 from 1-4 pm. The Event is Free, and for the entire Family! No Reservations are required for any of the afternoon’s activities.
The Refuge will host: live animals, archery, hands-on crafts, a variety of games, nature talks, and 2 different guided hikes! There will also be Live music and snacks. An Award Ceremony for the “Drawn to Sevilleta” poster art contest will be held from 3:00 to 3:30 pm, for kindergarten to fifth grade students of the Belen and Socorro school districts. This annual contest encourages young, local students to be more engaged in the outdoors through nature related art.
The day’s Guided Hike times are:
1:10 – 2:40 – Guided hike with views of the Rio Grande, Los Pinos, and the Ladrones mountains.
2:10 – 2:40 – Guided hike on the Wildflower Loop to see some stunning views of the surrounding features and learn how they were formed.
